HomeRepairsHub ("we", "us", "our") operates homerepairshub.in and provides home appliance repair bookings and spare-parts orders in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we protect it and the choices you have.

We handle personal information in line with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, as they apply to us. By using this website or submitting a form, you agree to this policy.

2. Information we collect

We collect only what we need to handle your request:

• Contact details: your name, mobile number and email address.
• Address details: your service or delivery address and pincode.
• Appliance details: category, brand, model, age, warranty status and a description of the fault.
• Part details: the part name or number, quantity and any photo or document you choose to upload.
• Your preferred contact method and any message you send us.
• Technical information, such as a protected form of your IP address and browser type, used to prevent spam and misuse.

We do not ask for card, bank or UPI details on this website. Please do not put passwords or government ID numbers in any form.

3. How we use your information

• To respond to your request and verify the details you gave us.
• To arrange inspections and repairs, and to identify, quote and deliver spare parts.
• To confirm your booking or order and send updates by phone, WhatsApp or email, as you chose.
• To provide support, handle complaints and keep records for accounting and legal purposes.
• To protect the website and our customers from spam, fraud and misuse.

We do not sell your personal information. We will send you marketing messages only if you separately agree to receive them.

4. Your consent

We process your information based on the consent you give by ticking the consent box on our forms, and where needed to perform the service you asked for or to meet legal obligations. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us by email at homerepairshub.india@gmail.com or through the form on our Contact page. If you withdraw consent we may not be able to continue with your request. Withdrawal does not affect processing already done, and we may keep information that the law requires us to keep.

5. Who we share information with

Your information is seen only by the team members and technicians who need it to handle your request. We also use trusted service providers who process information on our behalf, for example for website hosting and security, file storage and email delivery. They may use your information only to provide those services to us.

We may disclose information where the law requires it or to protect our rights, our customers or the public. Some providers operate servers outside India, so your information may be processed outside India. We take reasonable steps to protect it wherever it is processed.

6. Voice dictation

The microphone button on the repair form is optional. If you use it, your browser may send your voice to its speech-recognition provider to turn it into text. We receive only the text you submit, not the audio.

7. Cookies and third-party content

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies and we do not currently run analytics. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google servers to fetch them and Google can see your IP address. If we add analytics or other tools in future, we will update this policy.

8. Uploaded files

Photos and documents you upload (JPG, PNG, WebP or PDF, up to 5 MB) are stored in private storage. We use them only to understand the fault or identify the part, and only authorised staff can open them.

9. How long we keep information

We keep enquiry, booking and order records for as long as needed to provide the service, handle warranty claims and complaints, and meet legal, tax and accounting duties. This is generally up to three years after our last interaction with you, unless the law requires a longer period. After that we delete or anonymise the information.

10. Security

We protect information with encrypted connections (HTTPS), access-controlled administration, limited staff access, spam and rate-limit controls and private file storage. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your personal information, we will inform you and the authorities as the law requires.

11. Your rights

You may ask us to:

• tell you what personal information we hold about you and how we use it;
• correct or update information that is wrong or incomplete;
• delete your information, unless we must keep it by law;
• withdraw your consent; and
• nominate another person to exercise your rights if you cannot, as the law allows.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always on this page, with its date at the top. If a change is significant, we will take reasonable steps to tell you.
